Jason founded a digital ad agency Adviant Media in 2006 to help businesses generate sales and qualified leads through online media channels. After merging with Zoboo into a hugely successful company and with a qualified successor in place, Jason founded PWG with a vision to become an enterprise that owns businesses in multiple industries, with a long-term orientation to doing what is right for the businesses, their customers and employees. Jason’s philosophy is to invest in / partner with private companies where PWG’s resourcefulness and intellect can be leveraged to grow the business’ top-line and bolster its industry competitiveness.

Before joining Pearl West, Steven was a Co-Founder and CEO of an advertising agency where he managed all aspects of the organization. During the four years of his leadership, the agency transformed from a start-up into a profitable eight-figure business.Previous to his work at the agency, Steven served as an Executive Director of Operations for a large non-profit organization in the United States, where he learned the importance of creating team culture and developing clear core values.Steven is passionate about helping people with personal and professional growth, which has been his primary motivation throughout his extensive career spanning sales, operations, and management across various industries such as pharmaceutical, retail, and e-commerce.Steven earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Washington.

Dat started his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 19 when he started his first business operating a successful contracting business while attending university. After graduation, Dat became a managing partner at 23 years old for a Calgary based start-up for 3 years helping the company expand its operations across Canada.In 2013, Dat was recruited by a headhunter to join Ledcor LTS, as their sales director, responsible for growing their fibre optics sales team, selling for Telus communications. He helped grow the sales team from 13 to over 150 sales representatives during his 3 years tenure.After his success at Ledcor, Dat started a digital advertising company with a friend, where they created direct to consumer products and direct response offers and grew that business to over 10 million top line revenue. Dat started to shift his focus to building private label brands when he saw the growth on Amazon and change in the e-commerce landscape.From all these experiences, Dat enjoys building teams and helping people evolve through creating a company culture that allows people to push themselves to grow both personally and professionally.

Artur completed his BBA at Simon Fraser University in 2013. While at school, he also performed the duties of President of SFU Investment Club (2012) and Equity Analyst at Beedie Endowment Asset Management fund (2013). After graduation Artur had a chance to gain a hands-on experience in two M&A projects: helping the CEO of dPoint Technologies (Vancouver based greentech co.) with the company sale to Zehnder Group (SWX listed), as well as sourcing acquisition targets for Webtech Wireless (TSX listed). He also spent some time working at a Burnaby based market research shop covering various medical devices, where he helped dozens of marketing managers with product launches and geographical expansions. Right now Artur is involved with all aspects of operations at Pearl West; from deal sourcing to helping the acquired companies with their businesses.

Dannel began his business career in the financial industry in 2010 with World Financial Group. With a focus on recruiting talent and building leaders, his business saw exponential growth. In addition, Dannel’s hard work, leadership and dedication quickly earned him several promotions within the company. In 2014, he was the youngest promoted Senior Marketing Director in the firm’s Vancouver branch and was the youngest senior manager to achieve a six-figure earning. Dannel was able to expand his team of licensed advisors across North America and has generated over seven- figures of revenue in written business. Dannel’s results oriented work ethic and dedication to providing paramount quality service continues to make him an asset to his team; establishing a reputation for creating effective long-term strategies, building value and scaling business acquisitions.

Tim completed his BBA with Distinction at Simon Fraser University. With a strong passion for investments, Tim worked for one of the largest undergraduate student-run investment funds in Canada, where he expanded the fund’s investment opportunities by delivering pitches that consisted of financial and business analysis, investment recommendations, company and industry research, and valuation. After, Tim joined a global treasury consultancy and helped with advising Fortune 500 Companies on liquidity, debt and FX tools and strategies. Tim also worked for the CPA firm where he assisted with managing tax and audit matters for small and medium size businesses.

Vincent previously worked as an assurance intern at PriceWaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong, where he audited small and medium sized companies within the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Due to his passion for entrepreneurship, he has also worked as a consultant for small to medium sized owner-operated businesses in Hong Kong. Vincent has first-hand insights on the inner functions of small businesses, and is passionate in providing strategic options for growth for these firms.

Until December 31, 2015, Michael was the Deputy Chair & Managing Director of The Jim Pattison Group (a privately-owned diversified group of operating businesses) where Michael led corporate development efforts for 20 years. Michael remains a director of that company. Prior to joining The Jim Pattison Group, Michael was Deputy Chair & Chief Operating Officer of Orca Bay Sports & Entertainment (owner of the Vancouver Canucks), which built General Motors Place (now Rogers Arena) and brought the Vancouver Grizzlies NBA franchise to Vancouver during Michael’s time with the company. Michael served as Vancouver’s Alternate Governor on the boards of the NHL and NBA. Prior to that, Michael was a student, associate and then partner of Blake, Cassels & Graydon, having moved with the firm from Toronto in April 1989, when it opened its Vancouver office.

Larry is regarded as an expert on Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett and is also widely regarded as a significant expert in the field of law and accounting, having authored some 50 scholarly articles in major law journals (including Columbia, Cornell, Michigan, Minnesota, UCLA and Vanderbilt Law Reviews) and published a dozen books. His books are the standard teaching books for the subject of accounting in US law schools. Larry is widely respected as an expert on corporate governance, doing work for the Council of Institutional Investors, the Securities Investor Protection Corp. (SIPC), and PCAOB, as well as writing popular accounts of AIG and Berkshire Hathaway. He is a Director of Ashford Hospitality Prime, Inc., a NYSE-listed investor in luxury hotels; Member of the Dean's Council of Lerner College of Business of the University of Delaware; Member of the Editorial Board of the Museum of American Finance in New York; and a Board of Director of Constellation Software Inc. (“Constellation”) (TSX: CSU).
